I was a little leery about referring to Fortnite because I don’t play it, but I took a couple of screenshots from the video tutorial and opened up with, “Hey, so I have a question for you. I think it’s a game or something called Fortnite–have y’all heard of it?” You’d think I was giving away free candy! The 6th/7th/AND 8th graders were all excited and shared the basics of the game and were hanging onto my words as I explained how our workshop routines are just like Fortnite! It was amazing and it worked!
